Elegba Folklore Society, Inc.

Historical Significance

Elegba Folklore Society provides educational opportunities through the arts. Its purpose is to present the Richmond community with a deeper understanding of the rich diversity of its own cultural traditions and to encourage participation in those traditions. The Elegba Folklore Society focuses particular attention on the various strands of African American culture, and offers a tour of Richmond's African-American cultural heritage sites.
